With God´s help everything comes to a good end!

25.06.2025

In April, we reported here about the children in Uganda who had been abandoned by their parents. This case presented our team with major challenges, but things turned out well for the family. Many thanks to everyone who supported us in this emergency situation!

Here is a report from May 2025 by our social worker on the current situation of the children:

"The mother had returned to the family in the meantime, but urgently needed our help. The construction of the new house is progressing. However, a new toilet first had to be built quickly, as rainfall had completely destroyed the existing toilet. All that remained was a large hole, into which one of the children almost fell during the night.

When the house is ready for them to move in, the two children who were taken in by SALEM-Uganda in the children's village will return to their families. However, SALEM-Uganda will continue to provide for their education.

We will also take in the two older sons who have dropped out of school due to the difficult situation. We want to provide them with vocational training so that they have better opportunities. The older daughter should also be able to go back to school with financial support."

Last update from mid-June

"The family has now moved into their new home - with tears of joy in their eyes. The whole village and the neighbours were also very happy. Compared to the previous house, their standard of living has improved massively. Mother and children are very happy and can now look to the future with optimism."
