A Milestone for SALEM-Togo
14.01.2025
A New Training Programme Offers Great Opportunities
A new project will be launched at our training centre in SALEM-Togo from the beginning of next year. For the first time, people with no previous education will be able to start an apprenticeship at SALEM. The course will be offered to around three dozen young adults.
The need and demand are huge. We are providing real help for self-help!
The trainees will be taught how to set up a tree nursery, basic knowledge about agroforestry and beekeeping.
In mid-December, our project manager Gbati Nikabou travelled to Lomé to the Ministry of Technical Education to obtain a registration number, which allows us to officially start training at the beginning of January 2025. Registrations will also be possible from this date.
Our SALEM team is very excited about this opportunity and is already advertising it on social media.
‘We have a lot to offer and we pray for the success of the training programme.’ (G. Nikabou)
As the 18-month training programme starts in January, materials urgently need to be purchased. Among other things, books, a blackboard, projector and screen are still missing. The costs for this amount to approx. 1,500 €.
If you would like to support SALEM-Togo, you can do so here. Thank you very much!
