We are celebrating 30 years of hospitality in SALEM-Uganda

It has always been a particular concern of SALEM-founder Gottfried Müller that guests are welcome and can be accommodated in all SALEM projects. And so, after the situation in the country had eased, the construction of guest houses was also started in SALEM-Uganda. These were ceremoniously opened in 1994 by Vice President Kisekka in the presence of many guests.

Over the years, the reception and the individual guest huts have been expanded and better equipped to form an eco-lodge. Comfortable guest houses with hot water and plenty of outdoor seating are awaiting you now. A vegetarian restaurant is attached.

The proceeds from the guest house generate important income for the project, especially for the children's village.

In 2010, SALEM founded Tugende Begegnungsreisen together with other partners to give interested parties the opportunity to get to know an authentic Uganda far from the tourist trail. Participants come into direct contact with the local people and see how they live and work.

Please visit tugende.org regularly to find out about our current trips with a stay in the SALEM village.

You are most welcome!
