New project in SALEM-Togo is making progress

04.01.2011With the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), SALEM-Togo has built a training center for sustainable land use. Along with an attached nursery the center contributes to making Togo a little greener.

Salem Children's Village supported by sustainable food production

21.10.2010After a two month delay the new well for the project “Trees for Life” at SALEM-Togo is now completed.

14.09.2010The German Federal Ministry for Development Cooperation (BMZ) was impressed with SALEM’s tree nursery in SALEM-Togo. We can now tell you, our supporters, that financing for this project is secured!

SALEM in Southern Sudan – Creating chances for the future

13.08.2010SALEM is now close to being able to support the people of Southern Sudan. A needs assessment has been undertaken and our project-design is almost complete. The remaining challenge is to find donors and sponsors who can enable the development of this deserving project.

3:1 for SALEM-Togo! The German Government supports our plans for a new tree nursery!

02.07.2010What joy! The German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has awarded SALEM a grant of 35,000 Euros towards the cost of establishing a tree nursery in Togo. This will cover three quarters of the total costs, leaving a balance of 12,000 Euro for us to find. Alone, an impossible task, but together, we can do it!

Inauguration of the SALEM-Uganda School of Nursing

11.06.201012 May 2010 saw the inauguration of the SALEM-Uganda School of Nursing following the completion of the first phase of construction. Many sponsors from home and abroad made the journey to the celebrations and in doing so marked the beginning of the first year of training for the initial intake of 40 students.
