20.04.2011Our annual gathering of SALEM friends took place from 7th to 10th April 2011. About 20 SALEM friends from all over the world found their way to SALEM-Stadtsteinach to spend a long weekend in our guest house, to take a rest from everyday life for some much-needed spiritual refreshment and prayerful walks along the Prophet’s Way.

Pamela Spence, Director of SALEM-Scotland, gives a summary of her impressions:

“Coming back to SALEM is always like coming home for me. What started as a series of conferences to discuss Thom Hartmann’s book ‘The Prophet’s Way’ has become an annual gathering of SALEM friends old and new around Herr Müller’s birthday. Why do we do it? Because we have learned the importance of re-connecting – to the SALEM spirit and to each other. This strengthens us spiritually and physically and empowers each one of us to return to our lives with renewed focus, feeling supported and nourished. It is also a chance to take time to walk in the beautiful forest, to eat wonderful SALEM food and to share music and poetry around the fire. New SALEM ventures are sometimes born there and it is one of the most important dates in my calendar. I’m looking forward to next year already!”
